DEFINITIONThe Document Viewer Portal is a secure, browser-based viewer for Pro.File-controlled documents. It puts PDFs, images, office files, and interactive 3D STEP models in front of anyone who needs them, by a simple URL, always at the current released revision, with no PLM seat or CAD license required.

The people who build, buy, inspect, and service your products need drawings, but most of them don’t have PLM licenses. So documents get printed, emailed, and saved to shared drives, and sooner or later an obsolete revision ends up on the shop floor.

The Viewer Portal ends that. Every document is reachable by URL, by PLMID, document number, or part, and opens instantly in a browser. Document-number links resolve to the latest released version, older links offer a one-click jump to it, and content is permission-filtered so each audience sees exactly what it should. Embed the links in your ERP, work instructions, intranet, and supplier communications.
