DEFINITIONThe Cre8tive Import Tool is a guided, browser-based data-loading solution for Pro.File PLM. It turns Excel and CSV spreadsheets into fully linked parts, documents, projects, BOMs, and file attachments, and validates the entire package before a single record is written.

Every PLM program lives or dies on its data. Go-lives, acquisitions, legacy clean-ups, and new product introductions all begin with a mountain of spreadsheets, and traditionally, getting them into PLM has meant one-off scripts, specialist consultants, and nervous cutover weekends.

The Import Tool replaces all of that with a seven-step wizard your own data stewards can run. Templates are generated from your live Pro.File schema, an optional AI prompt reshapes raw source data into exactly the right format, and whole-package validation catches problems before they ever reach your database. Every run is audited, and saved mapping profiles make the next import routine.
